Pregnancy & Post Natal

Many of the common symptoms experienced during pregnancy, especially back pain, headaches and heartburn, are related t​o changes happening in the spine and the nervous system.​ 

Chiropractic ​can be a safe and efficient​ way to restore function and reduce pain. Many of these symptoms may also continue through the postnatal period due to continuous lifting and twisting while caring for your new baby, so your Chiropractor may recommend ongoing care to support your spine and nerve system as well as regular exercises and stretches appropriate for your recovery.

Children & Babies

Providing them with the best start in life. Instrumental and cesarean births can lead to discomfort and often presents in our little ones being particularly unsettled, especially in the first few months of life. Our treatments are always gentle, safe and respectful of our patients and caregivers needs.

Additionally, many issues seen in adults often begin in childhood. Chiropractic care assists in keeping the spine and nervous system balanced as children are often very active in sport or are spending many hours on devices that can have a negative effect on posture, and therefore health.

Adults

Everyday life is filled with constant stresses and can impact on how well your body functions. Being inactive at a desk, sports, exposure to chemicals in our food and environment, along with mental and emotional stress are all examples of things that may be affecting our health. Chiropractic works with your body to help keep it functioning well and handle life's daily stressors.

Seniors

Keeping active in both body and brain are important aspects of aging well. Chiropractic may help overcome or reduce the challenges of ageing by slowing the decline in functional ability and reducing the risk associated with falls.

Exercises.
We all know that movement is important for our overall wellbeing. When you come in to see us at GMC, spinal mobility and function is one of the indicators we use to assess the health of your spine. Once we have established this, we are able to give you specific advice around stretches, exercises and rest that will help you achieve and maintain a healthy spine and nervous system.

Nutrition.
We are what we eat. What we fuel our bodies with can directly affect the outcomes we are able to achieve during care. By offering simple, straightforward advice around diet, water intake and supplementation, we can assist your body to function better, with less inflammation.

Lifestyle.
Aside from movement and nutrition, there are many daily habits that improve or diminish our sense of wellbeing. From your initial consultation and throughout your care, we aim to get to know you as an individual and figure out what these other factors may be. We are happy to chat to you about anything from sleeping habits and ergonomics, to footwear or even mindfulness.
